Our history
Michael Roe is a licensed Combat Sports Official and a resident of both Thailand and the United States. Early efforts in Thailand began when he ordained as a samanera and spent time at the Golden Horse Monastery, later helping Phra Khru Bah with Muay Thai gear for his teaching programs for young novices at his temple.
Our mission
The Traditional Muay Thai Association is dedicated to preserving and promoting the authentic traditions, spiritual essence, and cultural heritage of Muay Thai in Thailand. We strive to honor the art’s ancient roots by fostering respect for its rituals, values, and philosophies, while nurturing a community of practitioners who embody discipline, humility, and reverence for the sport. Through education, training, and cultural initiatives, we aim to safeguard Muay Thai’s sacred legacy, ensuring its timeless wisdom and traditions inspire future generations both in Thailand and beyond.
